More ABOUT ME?

Hi there! I'm Megan, the proud founder and driving force behind Heal.ed Tribe and Sumone. More importantly, I'm the lucky mum of two amazing and independent young people. My journey spans various roles: entrepreneur, psychology graduate, teacher, kinesiology instructor, and practitioner of both kinesiology and reiki. I’ve had the privilege of joining Impact Academy in 2018, and in 2019, I was honored with a merit award in the Gold Coast Women in Business Awards and named Westfield Helensvale’s Local Hero. Life has truly blessed me with incredible experiences and an amazing support network.

My passion for supporting youth has been a constant throughout my career. Starting as a primary school teacher with a double degree in English and Psychology and a Diploma of Education from the University of Wollongong, I spent twelve years in the classroom. Witnessing many students struggle with learning inspired me to start a tutoring agency that focused on personalized support. I also dedicated years to teaching personal development through drama and physical education to youth of all ages.

Seeking to expand my impact, I retrained in kinesiology and have been immersed in the health and wellness industry for twenty five years. Running a thriving practice with nine incredible wellbeing practitioners, I've supported countless individuals and trained over one hundred and twenty to become Neuro Linguistic Kinesiology practitioners. Community is my lifeblood, and I thrive on helping those around me flourish.

Today I am a passionate mental health advocate and wellness facilitator. With over two decades of experience as a practicing kinesiologist, educator, and certified Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) instructor, and running a successful wellbeing centre and not for profit, I have spent a lifetime immersed in holistic health and wellbeing, guiding, nurturing, and serving organisations and individuals alike. My approach, is rooted in the principles of heart centred leadership, emphasising the importance of prioritising the needs of others and fostering a culture of collaboration and mental wellbeing. I like to think that my workshops and retreats are more like heartfelt conversations amongst friends, where everyone feels heard and valued.  Through this we can empower organisations to create healthier, happier, and more productive work environments and lives!

I believe in the power of guiding, nurturing, and serving others, and I am committed to making a positive impact on the wellbeing of those that I work with.

"As a Mental Health advocate, my mission is to empower individuals and organisations to lead mentally wealthy, happy and productive lives.”
